Cooking in the hens household 🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳🍳

Today I cooked scones. With a packet mix of course, but nonetheless, I cooked scones. But the first me thing that went wrong was: I cooked them with my Mum 😂. Which means you hear a lot of:

  1. “Come on, mix it harder, mix it faster!”
  2. “Put some oomphf into it ( I don’t know what that means either).”
  3. “Okay,my turn now.”
  4. “Let me just add a bit of this.”
  5. “It doesn’t matter what the recipe says,we are substituting!”
  6. “No,it’s not cooked,we want them nice and crispy.”
  7. “No they aren’t burnt, we just added some extra flavour to them!”
  8. “Oh, I wish I hadn’t burnt them”
  9. “Never again.”
  10. “Let’s just add the two sides together before we cook them, that’s what they are supposed to look like”( nearly forgot this one 😉)

Yes, that is really how it goes, but luckily they turned out well ( you can definitely see the crispy element in them):

We didn’t “just add milk 🥛” we added A LOT of cheese 🧀, and not just to the dough, but on top as well. But not just that, we had to add salt 🧂, pepper and paprika 🌶🌶🌶. Nevertheless, they were actually pretty good! And if you want to have a go,we used the Co Op scone mix ( we got it online).

My thoughts 💭 of the day EDITION 2

Yes, I have been thinking about maths A LOT!

So at school we got our new timetable and most of it is okay, except from the fact that I have double maths last thing on Thursday and Friday, which is not the way to end my day. And because of that, maths has been on my mind a lot.

I am going to share my many thoughts 💭 right now:

  1. “How did I just mix up this list so I have one space on 1. ?”
  2. “ I absolutely can not wait for Christmas 🎄 🎄 🎄”
  3. “I need to start my count down to Halloween 🎃”( yes, my thoughts are very festival related right now)
  4. “Should I put the money 💵 have right now in one of those boxes that you have to smash open or should I put it in one that you can open yourself if you want to use it?”( don’t worry, these aren’t my largest problems right now)
  5. “Why can I see the moon 🌑 at 1:00 🕐 ?”
  6. “Shoot, I forgot my headphones 🎧, and I’m going on a car trip right now!”
  7. “When is the EE 5g coming out, and has it come out, have I just missed it?”
  8. “Should I have a gap year before or after university 😂?”
  9. “ How would I look with blond hair and no freckles🙍🏼‍♀️?”
  10. “ I feel like being a barista for a short time would be fun because of the designs, but I don’t think I’ll ever like the taste of coffee ☕️”
  11. “Why on earth wasn’t I born flexible 😂?!?!”

Those are the thoughts I’ve had so far today, but don’t worry, you will be updated as the day goes on 😉.

My blurry/ kinda not allowed picture of the famous sunflower 🌻

I think it is finally time to share my photos and information about my trip to Amsterdam!!!

So I arrived at around midday on my first day and it was boiling 🥵,the kind of weather you wish you were in on a really cold 🥶 winter day. But obviously you can’t have it both ways, and I didn’t like it that way. It was around 35 degrees Celsius. We took a taxi 🚖 to our house boat and I was honestly shocked that there were so many bikes, and the thing was, they didn’t stop for zebra crossings or anything, but I thought you had to.

A short clip of what it looked like when I walked in 🤭

It was really cool staying there because it had really cool, modern furniture! I have also never stayed in a house boat before.

Usually you think of holidays as being relaxed, but mine are not. Because whenever my family goes on a city break, my dad brings THE MAP 🗺. So if we plan to go anywhere we will spend HOURS taking wrong turns and following him like ducks in a line. We did A LOT of exercise in Amsterdam.

Anyway, the first thing we did was walk around the area, but of course we didn’t walk around the beautiful canal we were literally on top of, we decided to walk away from that into a shady neighbourhood. Luckily, we found our way out and went to a restaurant because me and my brother were super hungry. It was a really great restaurant for 1 main reason: it had air conditioning. It also was the first time I tried white bait which was good ,but I couldn’t bring myself to eat the heads.

You know what that means, I was left with a bunch of tiny little fish 🐟 heads on my plate. And I know this is a cliche, but I really feel like they were staring at me 👀.

We then went to the supermarket to get the essentials ( chocolate 🍫 ). And then we went home and I figured out how to sign into Netflix.

The next day: we then went to the Louvre and the Van Gogh museum for a highlight tour with two really pushy tour guides. They actually pushed people out of the way. But it was really interesting, for a museum.

I can’t really remember what we did between those two days except for the fact that we went to the red light 💡 district 🚫. I am never going there again.

We also visited the Anne frank museum which was really good , one of my many recommendations. Very HISTORIC.

That’s all from me about Amsterdam but I’ll update you on any coming trips or other posts!

P.S. I have a very funny story about the logging into Netflix

My first full week at school!

I’ve now had my first full week of school of the school year, it definitely is a step up from last year but I’m doing well. It’s also been great seeing my friends again too! I can’t believe they have already given us 2 tests and an essay, but I know that may not seem bad at all to older years 😂. Luckily the tests are in the two subjects that I haven’t completely forgotten about over the summer! I’ve also got my essay back and I got a commendation, yay !😂

However, the things that haven’t been so great are that I haven’t been able to post much at all so not many people have been seeing my posts, my grandma has gone back home after being with us all summer ( she lives many hours by plane ✈️ away ) and I didn’t get in to the chamber choir AGAIN 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I am going to try and organise when exactly I will write and post my posts. So that I don’t find my self not being able to fit it in.

(As seen in photo above)

SOLUTION TWO: I have my grandmas WhatsApp ( I am proud to be the one to have taught her how phones 📱 work, and that you don’t have to go on photos to see the picture you just took). Which means I can text her still, and hopefully it won’t be too long until she comes again 😊.

SOLUTION 3: I was told the reason I didn’t get in was because of sight reading , which is very annoying because sight reading isn’t my thing YET. I still have another go at trying out next year and maybe this time I will actually practice my sight reading.

Therefore, if you ever need solutions, come to me, the solutions lady.

August favourites ❤️✨

This one is a bit too late but I have just started school and it’s been busier then expected so I hope you can make an exception. This post will be like my July favourites, which was quite popular for me, so I hope you enjoy this one just as much!😂

Books 📚 :

My book(s) has of the month, that’s a tricky one, I haven’t really been reading so I’m not sure I have to much to offer. However, I have been reading Of Mice and Men and I would say that’s going fairly well:

I hate the fact that the picture doesn’t fill the space so the rest is grey 😡.

I quite like this book but I find myself reading some lines over and over because sometimes I just don’t take in what it’s saying. However it has seen to be interesting so far. At the moment I can’t think of any other books 📚 I’ve been reading, but it’ll come to me.

Films/series 🎥:

I have recently started watching greenhouse academy and Alexa and Katie. This are both Netflix teen series and they have made me even more addicted to Netflix. I especially like the theme tune for Alexa and Katie 😂 🎵. I’ve only just really finished it and I need more episodes because I’ve got stuck into it now😩. I have also already watched some of greenhouse academy but I was in a bored mood so I started to re- watch even though usually I find that boring, but it wasn’t !

Clothing 👗👠:

So I ordered the clothes from SHEIN, as you will see in my other posts and I don’t know if it was just the clothes that I ordered but the quality was actually really bad for me 😬. However I really liked the necklaces I ordered so I kept those! I haven’t done any other shopping for clothes/shoes apart from some classic black vans and school shoes ( how sad is that ). But I really like the vans and will be wearing them A LOT.

This isn’t exactly clothing but there has been this craze about Brandy Melville, good and bad. This may be an unpopular opinion but I actually think the “one size fits all”policy is pretty bad because even if they do have clothes for M sized people, the amount is much more limited then clothes for people who are XS. That’s basically all I have to say on that topic 😂.

Beauty 💄💋:

I got this new lip gloss/balm recently and it’s very good for chapped lips 👄. I also got some great products from rituals that I did a review of in my other post! 💥💥💥

The other books 📚 I have been reading have also just come to me one of them is a comical “ break up with your phone 📱” book, and one is a sort of fashion design book 👗.

Back to beauty:

I also got this new bracelet from the Van Gogh museum when I was in Amsterdam (I’ll post about that ASAP!).

Music 🎶: I’ve also been listening to “princesses don’t cry”, “imagination and “wake up” a lot recently, however my Spotify playlist hasn’t really changed :

Photo of the month 📸:

This photo of the Eiffel Tower has to be my favourite photo, it looks so edited but it’s just because I took it on my brothers Hawaii 📸!

That is everything for me from the September month ( again very late I’m sorry) 😂. I hope you enjoyed this as much as July favourites!

If I had a million dollars 💵 what would I do ( or as the English say : pounds)

Now this one is a bit of a cliche, but I thought I would give it a go and show off what a charitable person I am 😉😉. My grandma always says give 10%, keep 10% and spend 80%. I have no idea where she got that from but I just have to guess she read it in her favourite newspaper 🗞. I’m not quite sure whether that works with smaller sums of money or even whether I would abide by that.

I’ve heard all sorts of things on the topic of money such as :

Money isn’t everything

Money can’t buy happiness & my favourite:

“ If you want to feel rich just count the things you have that money can’t buy”

Regardless of anything people have said, I think that you should make sure that you don’t get hung up on all the things you don’t have such as money, because if you do that you will never enjoy what you have and see how special it is. And if you do have 1 million pounds ,like I’m imagining today, you should save some and that parts that you spend, should be on things that you will never regret doing.

So here is what I would do :

I would give 40% of my money to charities, and to people or things who need it. This is not for the sake of being generous, it’s because there are so many things and people in the world 🌍 that need help and support, and have so much wasted talent that could be used if only they had the resources. Therefore, if you have the money to help, I would think that you should help!

I would then save 20% for things in my future such as colleges and money for later life 😂. So that I have at least a bit of money to rely on for more important things!

I would also save a bit of that and maybe another 10% for children or people in my family too 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦👨‍👨‍👧‍👦👨‍👨‍👧‍👦

After that, I would probably spend 30% on travel and other items and things like that 🤪🤪🤪

That would then reach the end of my money, perhaps I might change my mind on how I would use the money, but for now that’s how I’d use it!

Please like, follow for more and COMMENT what you would use the money for !

Product review of rituals 🧴🧴🧴

This is the hand cream 🧴🧴🧴

Yesterday, I went to rituals, a cosmetic and beauty store. They were running a workshop sort of thing where you could try out their products for free and they would give you samples and food. It was really fun and great and I 💯 percent recommend you go there ! I thought that after all of that it would be nice to buy something after they had organised that, and I really loved all the products anyway. I bought a hand cream ( in the picture ) and a lip mask 💋. I might review a few of there other products I have too!!!

When I was in Paris, I kept seeing the same rose 🌹 hand cream everywhere and I thought it was really nice. However, I didn’t get to try any, so this hand cream was a sort of substitute for that. I rate this:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars

This is because it has a really nice scent, and it really moisturises your hands 🖐.

I also have some other products that came in a set 🙂

Shower 🚿 flower 💐:

This is a really fun and enjoyable product which is a body wash to use in the shower. It works very well and the flower part adds and element of fun to it every time !

Both this video and photo are of this crackling moisturiser 🧴:

This is really great to use in summer because its extremely cooling and you don’t have to spend a long time rubbing it in because it sinks easily into your skin! 💥

Another product !
This is the invite I got for free!
Another great smelling body mist from here 🌷🌷🌷

I hope you enjoyed these product reviews and photos! Rituals is a really great and fun shop that I recommend you visit 😉
